Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar local storage technologies are used in the service provided by PickupTime (pickuptime.io) ("PickupTime") at pickuptime.io and its subdomains.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They are commonly used to provide essential functions such as keeping you signed in and remembering your preferences. Similar to cookies, the browser's local storage (localStorage) can also be used to store information on your device.

Cookies are classified by origin as first-party (set by the site you are visiting) or third-party (set by other domains), and by lifetime as session cookies (deleted when the browser is closed) or persistent cookies (remaining on the device for a defined period). PickupTime uses first-party cookies only; no third-party tracking cookies are set through our domains.

2. Cookies and Storage We Use

In its current version, PickupTime uses only essential (strictly necessary) cookies. We do not use advertising, marketing, behavioural profiling or third-party tracking cookies. The technologies in use are:

• Session cookie: enables you to sign in securely and keeps your session active as you move between pages. The service cannot be used without it. Duration: for the session, or at most for the validity period of the session.
• Language preference cookie: remembers your interface language choice (Turkish/English) so you do not have to select it on every visit. Duration: up to 12 months.
• Driver device token (localStorage): in the driver interface, a device token that pairs the driver's device with the operator's fleet is stored in the browser's local storage. This token is not a cookie; it is sent to our servers only while the driver interface is in use, is never shared with third parties, and can be revoked by the operator at any time. Once revoked, the record stored on the device becomes invalid.

Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under the GDPR and ePrivacy rules, or under Turkish Law No. 6698 and related guidance, because they are technically required to deliver the service you have requested. For this reason we do not display a cookie consent banner. Should we ever introduce analytics or marketing cookies, this Policy will be updated and appropriate consent mechanisms will be put in place first.

3. Third-Party Content

The service embeds Google Maps components for map display. When the map component loads, Google may receive technical information from your browser (such as your IP address). Please refer to the Google Privacy Policy for information about Google's data practices. PickupTime does not share any data through Google Maps for advertising or tracking purposes.

4. How to Manage Cookies

You can delete or block cookies, or require a warning before a cookie is stored, through your browser settings. In most common browsers, cookie controls can be found here:

• Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies / Site settings
• Safari: Settings > Privacy (macOS) or Settings > Safari > Privacy and Security (iOS)
• Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and Site Data
• Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

On mobile devices, cookies and site data are managed through the settings of the browser app itself. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and will break core functionality. To remove the driver device token from your device, clear your browser's site data or ask your operator to revoke the token.

Because the service does not use advertising or tracking cookies, your browser's "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals do not change our current practice; those signals already describe our default behaviour.

5. Changes

If our use of cookies changes, this Policy will be updated and the current version published on this page. Material changes will also be announced in the application.
